Wisconsin Farm Technology Days calls off 2020 show

Wisconsin’s Farm Technology Days is the latest event to become a casualty of the COVID-19 virus.

The event was planned for July 21st through the 23rd, but because of the coronavirus concerns, the show will be held at the same host farm July 20th through 22nd 2021 instead.  2021 was going to be an open year after a planned Jefferson County event was canceled, but now Huntsinger Farms in Eau Claire County will move their show back one year.

Executive Chair John Leary says the health and safety of attendees, volunteers, and exhibitors is the primary concern, and they felt they could not proceed with the 2020 plans based on the ever-changing COVID-19 situation.

Leary says Eau Claire County officials moved quickly to work with the committee for next year’s dates, and the Executive Committee will reconvene this summer to pick up the plans already in place and augment them for 2021.
