Wisconsin Farm Bureau board votes for all virtual annual meeting

Wisconsin’s Farm Bureau President confirms their annual meeting in December will be all virtual. Joe Bragger says, “The fears of suddenly having restrictions placed on our ability to meet en masse would have put us in a bad place, where now, we can plan well in advance.”

Bragger tells Brownfield the board voted last week to call off the in-person conference in Wisconsin Dells and go to the online two-day format on December 4th and 5th.  Bragger says they are committed to working with the membership to connect them so they can participate and vote remotely for the delegate meeting. “You know, there’s a lot of different options and we’re going to be looking at every one of them to make sure that every member has a chance to take part in our annual meeting this year.”

Bragger says they would rather have an in-person conference, but he sees this as an opportunity to involve members who normally cannot attend through technology.
