Wisconsin DNR accepting applications for upcoming learn to hunt program

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is once again holding its annual Learn to Hunt Deer program this fall at the Sandhill Wildlife Area.
Darren Ladwig, DNR Wildlife Biologist at Sandhill, tells Brownfield the 2023 program includes youth and adult workshops on August 23rd and 25th-26th, followed by a one-day mentored hunt on November 4th.

Hi Kim – According to Wisconsin DNR, the youth program is open to young hunters aged 12-15, and the adult program is for hunters age 16 and older with no previous experience hunting deer with a firearm. Hi, at what age can kids take this Learn to Hunt program? I am inquiring about this for my grandson, he will be 8 on May 27th,2023.
