Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack has named Daniel Whitley the new administrator of the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service.  He has served as acting administrator since December 2020.

Whitley was most recently responsible for leading the FAS trade policy and market analysis teams as Associate Administrator.  He also served as Deputy Administrator of the Office of Global Analysis and Director of the Office of Civil Rights and has held various positions during his 20-year career with the agency.

Whitley says he’s looking forward to finding new ways to support farmers and ranchers and delivering on the administration’s priorities.
