White House supply chain task force established

The Biden administration is establishing a task force to address near term supply chain challenges to economic recovery.

The Supply Chain Disruptions Task Force, led by the Secretaries of Commerce, Transportation and Agriculture, will focus on solving issues where a mismatch between supply and demand has been ‘evident’ including the food sector.

The White House says it hopes the task force will help alleviate bottlenecks and supply constraints.

The Department of Commerce is being charged with collecting supply chain data to better the federal government’s ability to identify near term risks.
