White House says agriculture, connectivity are top priorities

The White House has released its research and development priorities for 2020 and agriculture is included.

A statement from the Office of Management and Budget and Office of Science and Technology Policy says that ag agencies should prioritize the safety of plants and animals developed using gene editing. It also says that precision ag technology should be used to lower ag inputs and improve the quality of ag products.

Connectivity is another priority. The White House says that agencies should increase access to high-speed internet.
