Wheat tour forecasts are falling short of USDA estimates

After the first two days of the Kansas Wheat Tour, scouts are estimating the state’s wheat crop at 42 bushels per acre.  That compares to the latest USDA estimate of 47 bushels.

The Oklahoma Wheat Commission says its expects a state-wide average around 33 bushels per acre, compared to USDA’s estimate of 38 bushels.
