Wet weather in Nebraska slows harvest for corn, soybeans

A week of wet weather in Nebraska slowed corn and soybean harvest.

The USDA crop progress and condition report says 72 percent of corn his harvest, 13 percent behind last year.

Ninety-one percent of soybeans are in which is nine percent behind last year.

Winter wheat condition is rated at 56 percent good-to-excellent with 90 percent of the crop emerged.

More than three-quarters of sorghum has been harvested, 12 percent behind last year’s pace.

Pasture and range conditions are rated at 16 percent good-to-excellent.
