Wet weather impacting Ohio crop conditions

Ohio farmers continued to battle wet conditions last week as moisture stress in soybeans becomes more apparent.

The USDA says the corn crop improved two points to 66 percent good to excellent, with 60 percent silking and two percent in the dough stage.  Soybean condition dropped a point to 49 percent good to excellent, 61 percent is blooming and 21 percent is setting pods.

Winter wheat harvest has advanced ahead of the five year average to 96 percent complete, but quality is a concern.
