Weekly ethanol production up, stocks down

U.S. ethanol production bounced back last week, while stocks moved lower.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration says ethanol production last week averaged 1.081 million barrels a day, up 52,000 on the week, following two consecutive weeks of declines.

Stocks were down 770,000 barrels at 23.474 million, tightening for the first time since late December.

The USDA’s next corn for ethanol use estimate is out February 11th.
