Warm conditions push crop emergence forward in Ohio

Warm temperatures pushed crop corn emergence forward in Ohio this week. According to the USDA, corn panting is complete, and the crop is 96 percent emerged. The crop is 87 percent good to excellent.

Soybeans are 95 percent planted and is 81 percent good to excellent.

Winter wheat is 16 percent mature and is 82 percent good to excellent.

Topsoil moisture is 94 percent and subsoil moisture is 97 percent adequate to surplus.
