Video shows animal cruelty at Fair Oaks Farms

Florida based Animal Recovery Mission (ARM) released a video Tuesday of animal abuse at Fair Oaks Farms in northern Indiana.

The video captured by the group shows calves being thrown, kicked, and mistreated.

In a statement, Fair Oaks Owner Mike McCloskey says it is with great disappointment to find that there were five individuals committing “multiple instances of animal cruelty and despicable judgment.”

The responsible employees have been fired.

McCloskey says they will increase their monitoring and training of employees to prevent this abuse from ever happening again. He says as a veterinarian whose life is dedicated to the care, comfort, and safety of animals; this has deeply affected him.

The Animal Recovery Mission says their investigation is the first realistic and honest audit of Fair Oaks Farms and the Fairlife Corporation.

A full investigation of the video is underway.
