USMEF touts record beef exports in ‘22

The U.S. set a record for beef export values last year with sales topping $11 billion.

Dan Halstrom, President and CEO with the U.S. Meat Export Federation, tells Brownfield much of the credit goes to American producers.

“When there is a U.S. establishment number on a box – whether it be beef, pork, or any commodity – you automatically have the global reputation of the safest products in the world,” he said.

The USDA reports beef sales were up 10% year-over-year and pork exports were the third largest on record.
