USDA to take another look at harvested area after snow

The USDA will collect additional information on corn and soybean harvested acreage in Minnesota and North Dakota following the recent heavy snowfall in the northern U.S. Plains. Harvest activity in both states was already behind average following the historically slow start to planting and widely variable conditions during the growing season. The USDA says if the data justifies changes, new harvested acreage projections will be published in the November 8th crop report. New supply and demand estimates are also out November 8th.
