USDA offers “Get Started” online loan resources

USDA has announced new online resources to help farmers and ranchers with loan applications.

Farm Service Agency Administrator Zack Ducheneaux says the Loan Assistance Tool will help applicants better understand the loan process, needed documents, and includes an eligibility self-assessment. 

The agency says there is a high rate of unfinished or withdrawn applications, especially with underserved customers, and it’s making updates to improve equity for all.

USDA plans on reducing the length of loan applications, including more digital options, and making direct loan repayments online in the next year.
