USDA conservation survey underway

BrownfieldAppImageUSDA is surveying farmers and ranchers to better understand environmental benefits of conservation practices implemented.

The ag departments says the results of the National Resources Inventory Conservation Effects Assessment Project will help develop science-based conservation solutions.

The survey is meant to measure the effectiveness of current practices and what farmers need to further protect natural resources in selected watersheds. The results will also improve conservation policy and program development.

USDA NASS is contacting 25,000 farmers and ranchers now through August and will follow up with selected individuals throughout the winter.
