USDA APHIS to issue environmental impact study on HPAI

USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has announced its intent to publish an environmental impact study on the impact of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza.

The agency says the study will examine the effects of its response to virus outbreaks in commercial and backyard poultry operations. 

APHIS is requesting public comment to define the scope of the study, identify alternatives and issues.
