USCTP launches streamlined enrollment process

The US Cotton Trust Protocol has implemented a more streamlined and efficient enrollment process.  Under the updated program, growers would be enrolled for three years, the 2022 to 2024 crops, and be able to enter the supply chain sooner.

The new process allows growers to complete all requirements in one sitting and will also allow production by participating growers to be more easily identified and uploaded into the Protocol platform.

Dr. Gary Adams, president of the US Cotton Trust Protocol says supply chain membership continues to increase and it is important to make sure there is enough participation in the program to meet demand.

Since its launch in 2020, more than 700 brand, retailer, mill and manufacturer members have joined the Trust Protocol.  The program brings quantifiable, verifiable goals and measurements to key sustainability metrics of US cotton production.

The program is aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, is recognized by the Textile Exchange, and Forum for the Future, and is part of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, Cotton 2025 Sustainable Cotton Challenge, Cotton 2040, and Cotton Up initiatives.
