US soy remains open for business despite Covid-19

The US soybean industry remains open for business.

Jim Sutter, CEO of the US Soybean Export Council, says the industry hasn’t missed a beat during the coronavirus pandemic.

“We have great quality US soy, we have good supplies of it, and we have a great export infrastructure that can ship it to buyers throughout the world,” he says.

He says not only are growers producing soybeans, but they’re doing so sustainably.

“Thanks to the US farmers who produce soy,” he says. “It starts on the farm and today we have such a fantastic, sustainable footprint in agriculture.”

Sutter says importers can verify sustainable soybean production through the US Soy Sustainability Assurance Protocol.
