U.S. ethanol supply up on week

The domestic ethanol supply hit a multi-month high last week.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration says U.S. ethanol stocks grew 1.428 million barrels on the week to 22.462 million for the largest reserve since September, but that is 792,000 barrels below a year ago.

Production averaged 1.062 million barrels a day, down 4,000 from the previous week, but up 62,000 on the year.

The USDA’s next corn for ethanol use estimate is out Friday.
