U.S. China appear reluctant on new tariffs Dec. 15th

Reports say the U.S. and China appear to be backing away from new tariffs – even though President Trump has been insisting that  Sunday, December 15th is the deadline for a phase one deal and if not reached, he would impose new tariffs.

But, on Tuesday, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross told Fox Business that it’s “more important to get a good deal” when asked if the December 15th tariffs would take effect.  Just last week, Ross insisted tariffs would be going up on both sides if a deal wasn’t reached by then.

And Friday, Trump’s economic adviser Larry Kudlow said there’s “no arbitrary deadline.”
