U.K. dairy farmer protests continue

A second night of protests by British dairy farmers on Wednesday.  This time farmers used about 50 tractors to blockade a distribution center for Morrison’s, the fourth-largest supermarket chain in the country.

The producers say the four big supermarket chains are forcing milk prices down.  U.K. farm milk prices have dropped 25 percent since April.  For many producers, the pay price is now below the cost of production.

The supermarkets say there is a surplus of milk and they are just responding to the global market.

Earlier in the week farmers protested in front of a dairy processing plant.
