Two-percent of Nebraska’s corn planted last week

Corn planting is underway in Nebraska.  The USDA says two percent of the crop has been planted equal to last year but that’s behind the five-year average.

The state has more than three-quarters of adequate soil moisture. Subsoil moisture is more than half adequate.

Winter wheat is rated 43 percent good to excellent.

Oats are 70 percent planted with a quarter of the crop emerged, 14 percent ahead of last year and 16 percent average.
