Trump has ‘very good talk’ with Xi

President Trump says he and Chinese president Xi Jinping spoke by telephone Friday and had a “very good talk” about the phase one U.S.-China trade agreement.

Trump on Twitter said China has already started “large scale purchases of agricultural products” and added that a formal signing of the phase-one deal is “being arranged”.

Indications are that U.S. trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and Chinese Vice Premier Liu He will meet in early January to sign the agreement.
