Trump declares disaster in storm damaged Wisconsin counties

Much of southern and southwestern Wisconsin is now eligible for disaster assistance.

President Trump declared a disaster, making federal funding available for individuals in Crawford, Dane, Juneau, La Crosse, Monroe, Richland, Sauk, and Vernon counties.  Federal funding is also now available for state and local governments in those counties, as well as Adams, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Iron, Marquette, and Ozaukee counties the help with emergency work, facility repair, and hazard mitigation measures.

Storms between August 17th and September 14th caused heavy rain, tornadoes, landslides, and flooding causing millions of dollars in damages.
