Trade talks ramp up for U.S., EU, and Japan

Trade talks between the U.S., European Union, and Japan are set to take place in Washington this week.

In a statement from the EU, Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström will participate in a trilateral discussion with U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and Japanese counterparts to address issues such as “trade distortive practices”

The Trump Administration notified Congress it would seek trade deals with the European Union and Japan in October.
