The National FFA Convention and Expo is back in person

Blue and gold corduroy jackets are back in Indianapolis for the 94th National FFA Convention and Expo.

The national event was virtual last year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Student members say they’re excited to be back in person.

Audrey Langlotz is a senior in the Boonville FFA Chapter in Missouri.

“I love the National FFA Convention,” she says. “It’s a great way to interact with new people, it’s an awesome experience, and I highly recommend it.”

Some FFA members are attending the event for the first time.

Caroline Rhode is a sophomore in the Boonville FFA Chapter.

“I want to meet new people and interact with all different kinds of people from different states,” she says. “I was really looking forward to it last year but because of COVID we could not attend. So, I’m looking forward to it this year.”

Kaila Dillender is a freshman in the Boonville FFA Chapter.

“I’m just excited to finally get out of being all cooped up and to be able to get out with people and this is my first year so I’m glad that we get to learn more about convention,” she says.

The National FFA Convention and Expo continues through Saturday.
