Tennessee update: 36% soybeans and 49% cotton planted

Better weather helped Tennessee farmers play catchup on planting.  Corn is 84% planted, with 48% emerged. Soybeans are 36% planted with 16% emerged.  Cotton is 49% planted.

Wheat conditions declined slightly, with 58% of the crop rated good to excellent and 92% is headed with 7% coloring.

Pastures are rated 58% good to excellent. 

Topsoil moisture is 88% and subsoil moisture are 89% adequate to surplus.
