Tennessee crops: 94% corn, 60% soybeans planted

Planting progress in Tennessee remains well ahead of the average pace and crops across the state are overall in good condition.

Soybeans are 60% planted, with 36% of the crop emerged. 

Corn is 94% planted, with 79% emerged.  Cotton is 62% planted and 1% squaring. 

Winter wheat is rated 70% good to excellent with 97% of the crop headed and 35% coloring.  Pastures are rated 66% good to excellent. 

Topsoil moisture is 93% adequate to surplus and subsoil moisture is 95% adequate to surplus.
