Taiwanese delegation stops in Nebraska

Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts met with Taiwanese company officials this week during the group’s stop in Lincoln.

A delegation of feed and vegetable oil manufacturers from Taiwan stopped in Nebraska this week to sign letters of intent to purchase ag products.

Nebraska ag director Steve Wellman says Taiwan has been a steady customer.

“Taiwan isn’t necessarily a very large country, but they are very good, consistent customers for Nebraska agricultural products,” Wellman says. “They are Nebraska’s fifth largest export market for corn.”

The letters of intent, which were signed by Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts and representatives from Nebraska corn and soybean boards, also included distillers grains and soybeans.
