Syngenta field day visitors help raise more than $16,000 for FFA chapters

Participants of 2019 Syngenta field days helped raise more than $16,000 for local FFA chapters.

Ann Rengel with Syngenta says each person who attended a field event at a Syngenta Grow More Experience or Golden Harvest Agronomy in Action site was encouraged to fill out a digital registration.

“For each form submitted, Syngenta happily donated $5 to that site’s designated local FFA Chapter.”

Rengel says it is an important time to invest in agriculture students.

“The number of open agriculture jobs continues to outpace the number of educated professionals available to fill them. At Syngenta we want to proactively support students with the education and resources they need to further their involvement in the ag industry.”

The donation impacted 41 FFA chapters nationally, including eight in Illinois, one in Indiana, three in Iowa, seven in Michigan, three in Minnesota, one in Missouri, one in Ohio, one in Wisconsin, four in Nebraska, one in South Dakota, one in Arkansas and one in Tennessee.

Brownfield attended Syngenta field days in central Michigan and southern Illinois this year.
