State of Emergency in Missouri

Missouri Governor Mike Parson has declared a state of emergency because of severe weather and flooding. At 1 pm today the State Emergency Operations Center was activated, allowing state agencies to work directly with local jurisdictions.

Parson also says the state emergency management team is closely monitoring levels on the Missouri and Mississippi rivers and their tributaries, which are all expected to rise this coming weekend.
