Soybean growers benefit from growing biodiesel industry
The biodiesel industry continues to grow and benefit soybean growers.
Kaleb Little, director of communications for the National Biodiesel Board, says growth in the biodiesel industry gives soybean growers some certainty by adding value to soybean oil.
“Up to 11 cents a pound in extra value to soybean oil, which translates to about $63 cents a bushel to soybean producers,” he says.
He says this is especially important as farmers continue to face market challenges because of trade uncertainty.
