South Dakota winter wheat more than two-thirds good to excellent

South Dakota corn is 62 percent good to excellent. Soybeans are 52 percent good to excellent and three percent are blooming. Almost a third would be blooming normally.

Winter wheat is 68 percent good to excellent and 97 percent headed. That’s close to normal. Spring wheat is 71 percent good to excellent and is 61 percent headed, which is well behind normal.

Sorghum is 63 percent good to excellent.

South Dakota pastures are in great shape, at 86 percent good to excellent. Topsoil moisture is still 99 percent adequate to surplus.
