South Dakota winter wheat looks good

Little in the way of fieldwork was noted in the USDA crop progress report for South Dakota last week.

Wet conditions persist, with 100 percent of both topsoil and subsoil moisture supplies rated adequate to surplus.

Eighty-three percent of the state’s winter wheat crop is rated good to excellent, more than 20 points higher than the national average.
