South Dakota crop conditions worsen
Twenty-six percent of South Dakota corn was in very poor to poor condition as of Sunday with the rest fair to good.
Soybeans are showing added stress, up to 29 percent very poor to poor.
More than half of the state’s winter wheat condition and more than 60 percent of the spring wheat crop are in very poor to poor shape.
Forty-four percent of oats are very poor to poor. Seventy percent of sorghum is fair to good.
The state’s pastures and rangelands are nearly three-quarters in the “poor” categories.
