Site tours for new specialty soybean processing plant

The site of a new processing plant has been selected in southeast Missouri for high oleic, non-GMO specialty soybeans, “We have this vision of how we could actually help facilitate movement of goods and being able to aggregate soybeans, in particular, and help build an opportunity for a premium and niche market,” says Karla Klingner, the CEO of Palindromes, an international holdings company based in Columbia, Missouri.

She tells Brownfield Palindromes currently has 11-thousand acres of multiplier seed across parts of Illinois, Indiana, Arkansas and Missouri, including the port at Caruthersville, Missouri.

Palindromes gave field tours of the site today with leaders of the Pemiscot Port Authority, Missouri soybean leaders and soybean breeders, government and industry leaders and farmers.
