Seger named deputy director of ISDA

Jordan Seger has been named the deputy director of the Indiana State Department of Agriculture.

Indiana Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch says his knowledge of the department and background in agriculture make him perfect for the role.

Seger grew up on his family’s poultry operation in southern Indiana. He joined the ISDA in 2011 as a field technician. over the years he has served as agriculture and environmental affairs program manager and division of soil conservation director.

In his new role, he will work closely with ISDA director Bruce Kettler and help grow the state’s ag industry.
