Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue is getting back on the road to hear from people in rural communities.  This fourth leg of his Back to Our Roots tour starts Monday with stops in New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, and wraps up Thursday in Alliance, Nebraska.

Perdue says USDA stands ready to give the agriculture community a voice as Congress and the Administration continue working on rural infrastructure, trade, and the Farm Bill.

Perdue will be joined in Nebraska by Governor Pete Ricketts and Director of Agriculture Steve Wellman. American Farm Bureau President Zippy Duvall joins the ag secretary’s tour starting in Colorado.

The Secretary started his Back To Our Roots Tour last August including visits to Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, and Indiana.  In March, Perdue was in Michigan, Ohio, and Kentucky.
