SD corn harvest behind last year

South Dakota corn harvest is behind last year at 81% complete but well ahead of the five year average.

Sorghum harvested was 92% as of Sunday while sunflower harvest was 72% complete.

More than a third of the winter wheat crop is in poor shape with the rest mostly fair to good.

Seventy-two percent of pastures and rangelands are very poor to poor.
