Ricketts calls on Congress to ‘seal the deal’ on USMCA

Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts is calling on Congress to “seal the deal” by approving the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).

Ricketts says approval of USMCA is especially important to Nebraska’s farm families, who have been buffeted by flooding and blizzards this spring, low commodity prices, and trade uncertainty with China. Ricketts says ratification would give ag producers a much-needed boost.

Ricketts accused Democrats in Congress of “dragging their feet” on approving the trade deal. The longer they delay, Ricketts says, the more Nebraska’s ag producers are going to miss out on opportunities.
