RFA says demand for US ethanol is rising
The VP of Industry Relations with the Renewable Fuels Association says US ethanol continues to gain popularity around the globe.
“The trade front is great,” Robert White said. “It’s all lining up to be a record year.”
White tells Brownfield US ethanol can help lower prices at the pump. “Fuel prices are high. This is a global issue thanks to the Russia situation in the Ukraine, and supply in general.”
He says RFA has been working closely with trade partners to increase demand. “We just had a trade mission with our CEO Geoff Cooper in Japan. We also have another staffer that was in Peru.”
US ethanol exports in July were up 6% from June, and Canada was the leading destination, followed by Singapore, the Netherlands, South Korea, and Peru.
White spoke to Brownfield at the 2022 Farm Progress Show.
