RFA responds to China’s higher ethanol tariffs

China has imposed higher tariffs on U.S. ethanol as part of the retaliation of US. tariffs on steel and aluminum and the head of the Renewable Fuels Association (RFA) says it will hurt Chinese consumers and U.S. farmers.

The extra 15% tariff on ethanol imports from the U.S. is on top of the already 30% tariff.

RFA President Bob Dinneen issued a statement urging the Trump administration to “work aggressively” to remove what it calls “this latest attack on America’s rural economy “removed as quickly as possible.
