RFA: ethanol exports up sharply on month

U.S. ethanol exports climbed back above 100 million gallons in September.

The Renewable Fuels Association says September exports of 100.4 million gallons were up 30% from August, with Canada the biggest importer for the eighteenth month in a row even after a big month-to-month drop. The other leading importers were the Netherlands, South Korea, the Philippines, and the United Kingdom.

Exports of distillers dried grains with solubles were a five month low at 877,745 tons, with about half of the total headed to either Mexico, Vietnam, or South Korea.

For the year-to-date, U.S. ethanol exports are 1.11 billion gallons, 27% ahead of 2021, with DDGS exports at 8.59 million tons, a little bit faster than last year.
