RFA: ethanol exports move higher

U.S. ethanol exports jumped from September to October.

The Renewable Fuels Association says exports of 104.74 million gallons were up 38% on the month, the biggest volume since March, with Canada claiming the top spot for the seventh month in a row. That’s the largest month of shipments to Canada in more than four years. The other top monthly markets were India, the Netherlands, South Korea, and the United Kingdom.

October’s ethanol imports were 10.5 million gallons, all from Brazil.

The RFA says exports of distillers dried grains with solubles climbed 24% 1.06 million tons, mainly to Mexico, Vietnam, Turkey, Indonesia, and Canada. DDGS shipments to China were the highest volume since February 2017.

For the year to date, U.S. ethanol exports are 976.9 million gallons, down 11% on the year, with DDGS exports at 8.59 million tons, up 5%.
