RFA: ethanol exports fall, DDGs climb

U.S. ethanol exports hit multi-year lows during July. The Renewable Fuels Association says ethanol exports of 51.6 million gallons were down 37% from June and the lowest monthly total since October 2013.

Canada bought 29.2 million gallons, but key customers Brazil, China, and India didn’t make significant purchases.

Distillers dried grain exports were 1.06 million tons, up 13% on the month, mainly to Mexico, Turkey, and Vietnam.

U.S. ethanol imports during June were 12.7 million gallons, all from Brazil.

For the year to date, ethanol sales are 715.9 million gallons, 9% slower than a year ago, with distillers dried grains at 6.49 million tons, 8% faster than 2020.
