RFA: ethanol exports drop during March

U.S. ethanol exports during March were 125.1 million gallons, 13% less than in February. The Renewable Fuels Association says that was the lowest total for the month of March in six years. The top customer was Canada for the twelfth month in a row, followed by South Korea, India, Nigeria, and Mexico, with the shipments to South Korea and Nigeria record large.

Exports of distillers dried grains with solubles were 927,134 tons, up 6% on the month, with Mexico claiming the top spot for the eighteenth consecutive month, and South Korea and Vietnam rounding out the top three destinations.

Ethanol exports for the first quarter of 2022 were 392 million gallons, while DDGS exports were 2.9 million tons, the biggest first quarter since 2017.
