Registration for revived Wisconsin farm program starts in April

A college instructor says potential students for the recently revived Wisconsin Farm and Industry Short Course are already trying to get registration information.

Dr. Steven Kelm

Dr. Steven Kelm with the University of Wisconsin River Falls says, “We’re thrilled with the amount of interaction that we’ve had thus far with the people that are interested.”

Kelm tells Brownfield that potential students cannot register yet, but there are things they can do now.

Kelm says they are still working on details like the curriculum and the online registration website.  He says the campus general registration website has a link to request more information, and potential short-course students should fill that out first. “Those individuals are going to get the news about FISK first simply because it’s going to go on the website. We’ll have their email information when the admission process is open for our first class of twenty-four. We’ll send that out to them immediately.”

Kelm expects the school will start accepting new admissions in April.  Questions can be sent to fisk@uwrf.edu or call Kelm at 715-425-4326.
