Rains slow Tennessee harvest progress

Rains delayed harvest in parts of Tennessee last week.  Fifty-eight percent of soybeans and 94 percent of corn has been harvested. 

Cotton harvest is 52 percent complete.  Fifty-three percent of pastures are rated good to excellent and 64 percent of the winter wheat crop has been planted, with 48 percent emerged.

Ninety-seven percent of Topsoil and ninety-six percent of Subsoil are called adequate to surplus.
