Rain, cold dampen Indiana harvest

Last week’s cold, wet weather slowed down harvest in Indiana.

Corn harvest, as of Sunday, was 73% complete, close to the five-year average. Indiana soybean harvest was 87% finished, also in line with the average. The plentiful rainfall helped winter wheat. Sixty-seven percent had emerged as of Sunday, ahead of last year and right at the five-year average.
